Two people have been arrested stemming from the assaults on the deputies, police stated.

These suspects were identified as Ayesha McGee and Tahira McGee, NBC affiliate of WCBD of Charleston reported, citing stories from the Charleston County Sheriff’s Workplace. 

Ayesha McGee was charged with third-degree assault and battery and Tahira McGee with second-degree assault and battery and resisting arrest. 

Officials stated more arrests are anticipated.

Officials said South Road from Nassau Road to Drake Street and America Avenue from Reid Avenue to Mary Road within the space will stay closed to course of the shooting scene.
