A lady visiting Yellowstone Nationwide Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officers mentioned Tuesday.
The 25-year-old lady, who was visiting from Ohio, was not recognized in a information launch from the park.
The girl approached the female bison Monday morning after it came near a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, near Previous Faithful geyser, the park said.

Fuller / VWPics through AP Images filePark rules require visitors to remain more than 25 yards from the animals, the most important mammals in North America, that are unpredictable, can high speeds of 35 mph and can leap a number of feet.
An estimated 2,300 to five,500 bison stay on the park, and so they have injured extra people than any other animal, the park stated.
When the visitor came inside 10 toes of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 feet within the air, the park said.
The girl had puncture wounds and other accidents and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service mentioned. Her situation was unknown Tuesday.
Two different people had been also near the animal when it gored the girl, the park mentioned. The discharge didn’t say if they had been injured.
The park warned folks to stay 25 yards from bison, elk, bighorn sheep and moose and at the least 100 yards from bears and wolves.
CORRECTION (June 1, 2022, 12:07 p.m. ET) A previous model of this article misstated the severity of the girl’s accidents. She was gored by a bison and suffered puncture wounds. She was not killed.
