BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A man was arrested Friday after multiple signs saying "faculty shooter" were found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Security introduced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple costs.

An elevated amount of law enforcement officials were positioned at faculties in the communities on account of the indicators. A number of faculties initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly positioned the indicators around the communities, the Department of Safety said, however they determined there isn't a credible threat right now.

One such signal was written on a paper plate. The protection division released a photograph of the plate but blurred a part of it "to guard the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony charge of criminal threatening and three misdemeanor fees together with false report to legislation enforcement, false public alarm and prison threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

No other suspects have been charged at the moment.
