Man arrested in connection with “school shooter” indicators found in 3 New Hampshire communities

BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after multiple indicators saying "faculty shooter" had been found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Security announced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple expenses. 

An increased quantity of police officers had been positioned at colleges in the communities on account of the signs. A number of colleges initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly placed the indicators around the communities, the Division of Security stated, but they decided there is no credible menace presently.

One such signal was written on a paper plate. The protection division launched a photograph of the plate but blurred part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of prison threatening and three misdemeanor charges including false report back to regulation enforcement, false public alarm and felony threatening. He is being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a listening to scheduled for Tuesday.

No other suspects have been charged presently.
