The family of an 11-year-old lady who survived the bloodbath at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader performed dead after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother stated the 4th grader is struggling to cope and telling them what she witnessed during the taking pictures.

"Round midnight my sister-in-law called me and she or he was just crying, like 'I think it simply hit Miah. I feel every thing came to reality now,'" mentioned Blanca Rivera.

Rivera stated Miah's instructor, Irma Garcia, was one of the two teachers killed. Her mates and classmates had been additionally targeted.

Rivera stated that is when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah bought some blood and put it on herself so she may pretend she was dead," said Rivera. "It is too much for me to play that scene time and again, but that's what my sister-in-law said is that she saw her pal filled with blood and she or he received blood and put it on herself."

Miah was injured but taken to the hospital and has been released.

"My brother stated she had bullet fragments in her back," said Rivera.

Rivera, a mom of three, stated the household is rallying around Miah to assist her get well physically, emotionally and spiritually.

"At this point, we simply have to hope and ask God to assist us move forward via this situation, I do know it's traumatizing as it is," stated Rivera.
