Comic Andy Dick arrested on suspicion of sexual battery in California

Comic Andy Dick was arrested Wednesday at a campground in Orange County, California, on suspicion of sexual battery, authorities mentioned.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Division responded to O’Neill Regional Park round 9 a.m. after the grownup male victim referred to as authorities a few possible sexual assault, said Sgt. Scott Steinle, a sheriff’s spokesman.

Dick, 56, was arrested on suspicion of felony sexual battery, Steinle mentioned.

The sheriff’s department would not present more details concerning the nature of the allegations.

The Orange County District Lawyer’s Office had not acquired the case Wednesday and has not made a charging choice, spokeswoman Kimberly Edds said.

Deputies responded to a campground space of the 4,500-acre park close to the Santa Ana Mountains in Southern California, the place they met the sufferer and finally arrested Dick, Steinle said.

Dick was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail Wednesday, in response to jail data. It was not immediately clear whether or not he had an lawyer who may converse on his behalf within the incident.

A person who has been Dick’s supervisor did not reply to a request for comment.

Dick was accused of groping a male ride-share driver in West Hollywood in 2018 and charged the next year with misdemeanor sexual battery.

Dick has pleaded not responsible, and the case is about for trial, stated his lawyer in that matter, Daniel Kapelovitz. Kapelovitz stated he does not signify Dick in Wednesday’s incident and had not spoken to him.
