Teen arrested after mother observed son had gun at Texas faculty drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray News) - A number of agencies responded to a center college in Texas Friday morning after a teenager’s mom observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle School around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teen by no means made it contained in the building, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the world together with a number of different companies in an try to find him.
The teenager was discovered close to the varsity’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old could be dealing with a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no menace made to the varsity or anybody inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Center Faculty was briefly placed on lockout as a result of the incident.
