Teen arrested after mother observed son had gun at Texas faculty drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray Information) - Several businesses responded to a center faculty in Texas Friday morning after an adolescent’s mother seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teen by no means made it contained in the building, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the area together with several other businesses in an attempt to search out him.
The teenager was discovered near the school’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old could possibly be going through a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no threat made to the varsity or anybody inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty was briefly placed on lockout on account of the incident.
