LIBERTY COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC/Gray News) - An incident that concerned gamers from a university’s lacrosse staff and deputies in Georgia remains underneath investigation.
WTOC reports Delaware State University President Tony Allen launched a statement on Monday responding to the incident that reportedly happened on April 20 in Liberty County.
Allen wrote Georgia law enforcement stopped a bus for a minor traffic violation with the Delaware State Lacrosse crew on board. Deputies searched the belongings of the student-athletes, including suitcases with drug-sniffing canines.
“100% you may’t be in that left lane at all,” said a Liberty County Sheriff’s Deputy.
The group was returning house from a sport in Florida and traveling by a contracted bus, in response to Allen.
Liberty County Sheriff William Bowman held a news convention concerning the incident however took no questions. He claimed that no personal items on the bus have been searched.

Allen wrote that everybody was incensed over the incident.
Allen also added the next:
“We do not intend to let this or every other incident like it cross idly by. We're prepared to go wherever the evidence leads us. We've video. Now we have allies. Maybe more significantly, now we have the braveness of our convictions.”
Allen concluded his assertion by writing, “We will by no means be bullied into believing something apart from what we're: Individuals, learners, teachers, builders—helpful and honorable people able to soar.”
