9 Shot, One Useless in San Bernardino County – NBC Los Angeles

One individual was killed and eight others were injured Friday evening when pictures were fired at a big get together at a strip mall hookah lounge in the San Bernardino County community of Highland.

The taking pictures in the city east of San Bernardino was reported simply before midnight in the 3600 block of East Highland Avenue. Officers encountered a big crowd of about 100 folks within the area for a celebration at a hookah lounge.

A shooting victim located outside died on the scene. A lady on the scene who identified herself as the sufferer's grandmother mentioned he is 20 years old.

Eight different people were hospitalized with what appear to be non-life-threatening accidents, police mentioned. The sheriff's department initially stated 10 people had been shot, but later updated that quantity to 9, including the deceased sufferer.

Police are looking for two shooters in reference to the capturing, a supply close to the investigation informed NBCLA. The supply said a lot of the injured victims were caught in the crossfire and did not look like intended targets.

Evidence markers had been placed at a close-by gas station. Crime scene tape blocked off the intersection early Saturday near Tha Blu Flame lounge.

NBCLA has reached out to the business for comment.

The motive for the taking pictures is under investigation, police mentioned.

No arrests have been reported. Detailed descriptions of the shooters weren't immediately obtainable.

Highland is simply east of San Bernardino at the base of the San Bernardino Mountains.
