NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — It's a topic that is taken hold in Tennessee: books like "Maus" or "Stroll Two Moons" have been pulled from shelves.

While those books could be banned from some faculties, there's still someplace else you can find them.

"Our job is simply to make sure that if you want it, it is right here for you," mentioned Public Information Officer for the Nashville Public Library, Ed Brown.

"'Maus' is all checked out proper now," stated Brown. "So we bought more copies on order but as soon as phrase obtained round about what happened in McMinn County, we obtained lots of holds."

These are just among the two million other materials at the Nashville Public Library.

"Lots of people do not want to learn these books; they don't want their children to have to learn these books, or forced to read these books, and that is high quality," said Brown. "But there are lots individuals who do, and we want to be there for the people who do wish to read these materials."
