Nashville Public Library launches ‘Freedom to Learn’ marketing campaign

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — It's a topic that's taken maintain in Tennessee: books like "Maus" or "Stroll Two Moons" have been pulled from shelves.

While these books is perhaps banned from some faculties, there's still some place else yow will discover them.

"Our job is simply to ensure that if you would like it, it is here for you," stated Public Data Officer for the Nashville Public Library, Ed Brown.

"'Maus' is all checked out right now," stated Brown. "So we got extra copies on order however as quickly as word acquired round about what occurred in McMinn County, we obtained lots of holds."

Those are just a number of the two million other supplies on the Nashville Public Library.

The objective is to get the 5,000 library playing cards within the palms of recent sign-ups this month.

"We're not attempting to be a push back — a power pushing again towards these decisions — we want to be an alternative choice to say, for those who might not be able to get it there... you can get it right here," stated Brown.

The limited edition library cards can be found so long as supplies last.
