Federal brokers entered Uvalde school to kill gunman despite local police initially asking them to wait

Federal agents who went to Robb Elementary Faculty in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday to confront a gunman who killed 19 children have been advised by native police to wait and never enter the school — and then determined after about half an hour to ignore that preliminary steerage and find the shooter, say two senior federal regulation enforcement officers.

In accordance with the officials, brokers from BORTAC, the Customs and Border Safety tactical unit, and ICE's Homeland Safety Investigations (HSI) arrived on the scene between noon and 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
