Drunk driver crashes, heads straight to dealership to try to promote damaged car with lacking tire

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 instances the authorized alcohol restrict after at the least 5 individuals known as 911.

Officers say the calls started coming in round 4:40 p.m. Monday.

They say witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway close to the Important Road exit. They are saying the crash brought on a flat tire and the automobile to smoke, however the driver kept going.

Other callers say the driver was everywhere in the street and now missing a entrance tire.

They say he eventually stopped at a automotive dealership and appeared “tremendous drunk.”

Staff informed police the driving force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was making an attempt to sell his SUV.

Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had just been in a crash.

They are saying Mattingly smelled of alcohol and nearly fell several instances. Officers say he examined .291 on a portable breath check.

Mattingly is dealing with several costs.
