He asks “Are you diabetic?”

“In no way,” Pesce says — to which the officer responds: “Probably the mistaken answer.”

Pesce has been on restricted responsibility till further notice pending investigation outcomes as he faces fees for five visitors offenses.

“There’s been a number of calls — and another caller that noticed you get out of the automobile and walk to the back," the officer replies.

Pesce disputes that he had been driving, saying “Nobody was driving.”

He was promoted to chief in 2018, after 20 years with Bordentown police, following the resignation of disgraced former Bordentown Police Chief Frank Nucera.
