A girl visiting Yellowstone National Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officers said Tuesday.
The 25-year-old woman, who was visiting from Ohio, was not identified in a news launch from the park.
The lady approached the feminine bison Monday morning after it came near a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, close to Previous Devoted geyser, the park mentioned.

An estimated 2,300 to 5,500 bison dwell at the park, they usually have injured more folks than every other animal, the park mentioned.
When the visitor came inside 10 feet of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 toes within the air, the park stated.
The lady had puncture wounds and other accidents and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service stated. Her situation was unknown Tuesday.
Two different folks had been also close to the animal when it gored the lady, the park mentioned. The discharge didn’t say if they have been injured.
The park warned people to remain 25 yards from bison, elk, bighorn sheep and moose and a minimum of 100 yards from bears and wolves.
CORRECTION (June 1, 2022, 12:07 p.m. ET) A earlier version of this article misstated the severity of the woman’s injuries. She was gored by a bison and suffered puncture wounds. She was not killed.
