The family of an 11-year-old lady who survived the massacre at Robb Elementary Faculty in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader performed dead after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother mentioned the 4th grader is struggling to cope and telling them what she witnessed through the capturing.

"Round midnight my sister-in-law called me and she was just crying, like 'I think it simply hit Miah. I feel the whole lot came to reality now,'" mentioned Blanca Rivera.

Rivera mentioned Miah's teacher, Irma Garcia, was one of the two lecturers killed. Her mates and classmates had been also targeted.

Rivera stated that is when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah received some blood and put it on herself so she might pretend she was dead," mentioned Rivera. "It is an excessive amount of for me to play that scene again and again, but that's what my sister-in-law stated is that she saw her friend full of blood and she or he got blood and put it on herself."

Miah was injured but taken to the hospital and has been launched.

"My brother said she had bullet fragments in her back," said Rivera.
