The household of an 11-year-old lady who survived the massacre at Robb Elementary College in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader played dead after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother stated the 4th grader is struggling to cope and telling them what she witnessed during the shooting.

"Round midnight my sister-in-law referred to as me and she or he was simply crying, like 'I feel it just hit Miah. I believe all the pieces got here to reality now,'" said Blanca Rivera.

Rivera mentioned Miah's trainer, Irma Garcia, was one of the two lecturers killed. Her pals and classmates have been additionally focused.

Rivera mentioned that's when Miah went into survival mode.
