The family of an 11-year-old girl who survived the bloodbath at Robb Elementary Faculty in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader performed dead after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother mentioned the 4th grader is struggling to cope and telling them what she witnessed throughout the shooting.

"Around midnight my sister-in-law called me and he or she was simply crying, like 'I feel it simply hit Miah. I feel all the pieces got here to reality now,'" stated Blanca Rivera.

Rivera stated Miah's trainer, Irma Garcia, was one of many two lecturers killed. Her friends and classmates were also focused.

Rivera said that's when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah got some blood and put it on herself so she may pretend she was useless," said Rivera. "It's too much for me to play that scene again and again, however that's what my sister-in-law mentioned is that she noticed her buddy full of blood and she or he bought blood and put it on herself."

Miah was injured but taken to the hospital and has been released.

"My brother mentioned she had bullet fragments in her again," mentioned Rivera.

Rivera, a mother of three, said the household is rallying round Miah to help her get better bodily, emotionally and spiritually.

"At this point, we just have to pray and ask God to help us move forward by means of this situation, I do know it's traumatizing as it's," stated Rivera.
